DESCRIPTION:Anja Demidova stages Olga Shiliaeva’s 28 Days: one woman\, one 
 cycle and too many voices telling her what to feel. [EN] Twenty-eight days
 \, one cycle\, and a chorus of voices with plenty to say about a woman’s b
 ody. In Olga Shiliaeva’s play 28 Days\, the protagonist tries to hear her 
 own thoughts and feelings through all that noise. Anja Demidova stages the
  text as a reading in English\, translated by Katherine Soloviev. The perf
 ormance grows out of a week-long theatre laboratory. Seven actors work wit
 h the text\, movement and masks that become their costumes on stage. The r
 esult keeps the openness of a reading while letting bodies and images do p
 art of the talking. Shiliaeva’s play was shortlisted for the Lubimovka Fes
 tival in 2018 and nominated for a Golden Mask theatre award in 2020. Here 
 it is brought close to the audience: an intimate\, sometimes unruly look a
 t what a month can hold. [DE] 28 Tage\, ein Zyklus und ein Chor von Stimme
 n\, die über den Körper einer Frau allerhand zu sagen haben. In Olga Shili
 aevas Stück 28 Days versucht die Protagonistin\, zwischen diesen Stimmen i
 hre eigenen Gedanken und Gefühle zu hören. Anja Demidova inszeniert den Te
 xt als szenische Lesung auf Englisch\, in der Übersetzung von Katherine So
 loviev. Die Aufführung entsteht aus einer einwöchigen Theaterwerkstatt. Si
 eben Schauspieler arbeiten am Text\, an Bewegung und an Masken\, die auf d
 er Bühne zu ihren Kostümen werden. Die Offenheit einer Lesung bleibt erhal
 ten\, während Körper und Bilder mitsprechen. Shiliaevas Stück stand 2018 a
 uf der Shortlist des Lubimovka-Festivals und war 2020 für den Theaterpreis
  Goldene Maske nominiert. Hier rückt es ganz nah ans Publikum: ein intimer
 \, manchmal ungebändigter Blick darauf\, was ein Monat alles mit sich brin
 gt.
