About
Jazzin.Berlin is one list of every jazz, improvised and experimental music concert happening in the city — tonight, tomorrow, and for the weeks after. It is free, carries no advertising, and is run as a service to the scene rather than as a business.
It is modelled on jazzin.amsterdam, which has quietly done this for Amsterdam for years.
Where the listings come from
Venues publish their own programmes. Where a venue offers a machine-readable calendar — a schema.org listing, an iCal feed, an events API — we read it a few times a day and nothing else. We honour robots.txt, identify our crawler, and rate-limit ourselves. The status page shows exactly how fresh each venue is.
We send you to the venue
Every listing links to the venue's own event page, and tickets are bought there. We take no commission and we do not resell anything. The point is to get more people through more doors.
If you run a venue
The most useful thing you can give us is a calendar feed (iCal or JSON) — it is less load on your site than scraping, and it means your programme is always right here. If something we list is wrong, tell us and we will fix it the same day. If you would rather not be listed at all, say so and we will remove you.
