Datenschutz
In short
This site sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device for tracking. You don't need an account. We count visits and a few actions — such as which concerts are opened and how often people follow a link to a venue — without identifying you, so we can tell venues how many listeners we send them and see what to improve.
Who is responsible
The operator named in the Impressum. Contact: hallo@jazzin.berlin
Hosting (Vercel)
The site is served by Vercel Inc. When you load a page, Vercel necessarily processes your IP address and browser details to deliver it and to protect the service from abuse, and keeps short-lived server logs. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in operating a secure website). Vercel is certified under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
Visitor statistics (Vercel Web Analytics, Speed Insights)
We count page views, referring sites, country, device type and page-load performance. These tools use no cookies; visitors are counted using a hash that changes daily and cannot be used to recognise you across days or sites. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
Usage and error measurement (PostHog, EU)
We use PostHog, hosted in the EU (Frankfurt), to count page views and a few actions: opening a concert, following a link to a venue or ticket page, adding a concert to your calendar, clicking the email address to submit a concert, using the search (the search text, without anything that identifies you) and the filters. If something breaks, the technical error report is sent there too.
PostHog is set up to keep nothing on your device (no cookies, no local storage), not to record sessions, not to build profiles of individual visitors, and not to store IP addresses. If your browser sends a Do Not Track signal, nothing is sent at all. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in understanding how the calendar is used and keeping it working).
Concert data and links
Concert information is factual data (date, time, performer, venue, price) published publicly by the venues themselves, with a link to the venue's own page. Poster images are loaded from the venue's server rather than copied here, so that server sees your request. When you follow a link to a venue or ticket site, that site's own privacy policy applies. A venue that wants its listings removed can email us and we will do so.
If you email us, we use your message and address only to reply. Mail is handled by IONOS SE in Germany.
Your rights
You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and to object to processing based on legitimate interest (Art. 15–21 GDPR). Because we don't identify visitors, we usually cannot link measurement data to you. You can also complain to a supervisory authority — in Berlin, the Berliner Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit.
