Japanese polymath Otomo Yoshihide has produced a massive body of work over the last four decades, scoring dozens of films, making noise music, and working as a global improviser, playing guitar, turntables and electronics. But his love for jazz has always been at his core, and with New Jazz Quintet he brings a fiery touch to classic 60s jazz of Coleman, Ayler and Dolphy alongside original tunes.
